Manuel's Restaurant and Bar is an Italian Restaurant and Bar .129 Gipsy Hill, London SE19 1QS.
The food served at Manuel's is based on the traditional Italian & Mediterranean cuisine. Our philosophy on cooking is simple - based on quality and seasonality of produce with minimum fuss. Our decor is sunny Mediterranean, our welcome is warm and relaxed, and our menu offers you well loved dishes with a twist The restaurant has relaxing atmosphere and friendly service.
On Sunday the restaurant will be open all day between 12pm to 9pm. We will be serving a Sunday roast but the a la carte menu will also be available.
The downstairs bar is available for private functions. We also have an outdoor dining area, perfect for summer lunches.

Manuel's does not disappoint. I come to London two or three times per year, and always make it Manuel's at least once, sometimes twice, (and one year) three times. First and foremost the food is always freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. How many restaurants have I had bruschetta I couldn't tell you, but this is my favorite. The toast is always warm/hot, and the finely cut tomatoes are always cold and perfectly seasoned. This "fussiness" as some restaurants would call, are standard here, and the hot/cold brings a delightful change in the usual culinary sensations. Our pastas are always consistently good, freshly prepared, al dente, straight out of the pan, with delicious sauces only my mother could make. Although I fear to mention our favorite dessert (as it had once been sold out...), the panna cotta is always smooth and is served with a small cadre of beautiful fruits and seeds of the passion fruit. Can you open one in America?

The portions are very big and the food is lovely , the starters we had were amazing. The waiters are very friendly , smiling ,and look after their guests well . The restaurant itself is really charming , they have a lovely little terrace area too.

First time in that restaurant and we loved it. We are planning on going back during one of their live event (Jazz evening). Highly recommended.

On arrival we were greeted by a lovely welcoming smile and given the choice of seating. To start off with service was a little slow but improved by the time we received our starters and remained so for the remainder of our meal. The quality of the food was excellent (many thanks chef) wine select was reasonably priced with a decent selection available. Our meal was rounded off with a lovely surprise gesture from the management a scoop of delicious Cornish ice cream with a candle and birthday sing along accompanied by a shot of freshly made restaurant limoncello. A very delightful lunch with overall good customer service, we will return in the near future

We celebrated my partner’s 50th birthday today. We have been dining at Manuels for many years and the standard of service and food has just got better and better and better. Thanks for another amazing evening

Great little restaurant where all the staff want you to have a great meal with attentive service. We were lucky to have arrived on a live music night which was an added bonus. There seemed to be a lot of regulars which is also a good sign.
