   We spent an hour walking in Excelsior before arriving at 4:15 pm for an early dinner. I had the Thai chicken bowl and it was excellent. A generous portion with lots of chicken and cashews. My wife had the Frannies Chicken Salad which was wonderful. Nice amount of fried chicken, half a hard boiled egg, a nice amount of sliced avocado along with a nice iceberg lettuce. Wonderfully done and my wife loves it so much she ate the entire salad! When we sat down I ordered a Castle Danger Cream Ale and my wife had a nice glass of dry white wine. The service as always was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our Friday afternoon outing.

   Years ago and I mean years ago, as a family we would dine at Maynards. Then the place became so popular that it was hard to ever get in to eat. They didn't take reservations in those days so candidly we gave up trying to go there. The meal just hosted by my daughter to celebrate my birthday was excellent as well as the service. Food quality has remained high standard at reasonable prices. I am so glad we were able to make a reservation through Open Table. I enjoyed my meal so much I would like to go back soon.

   It was very good as usual. I had the Firecracker wrap, could have been a little more "firecracky" for me. It was light on the firecracker sauce but still very good. I like the waffle fries more crispy, they were not.
