   Provided decent food, service, and atmosphere in Mother’s Day but most staff appeared rather overwhelmed. I’m sure there he experience would have been better had it been a normal or slower evening.

   I arrived after booking an outdoor table a few days before and it wasn’t available. They said wait 20 minutes and we will have one, so I did. There was no table. They said wait another 25 minutes, I sat inside instead. We sat and waited to be greeted for about 10 minutes at which time we were able to place 1 appetizer and children’s order, as none of us were drinking at that time. About 10 minutes later that came out and was good. We then sat for an hour without any interaction with our waiter. He finally came over and said our food would be a few minutes, we ordered some ice cream for the child and a wine at that time. Another 15 minutes go by and I go and get a manager and let him know to which he didn’t really seem to be interested because I told him if we don’t get our food in the next 5 minutes I’m leaving and he never came back. After waiting for over 1 hour and a half for our food and 20 minutes for a table that never came I had enough and left. Other people near me got their food! We didn’t order anything complicated. Completely ruined my Mother’s Day.

   Service good. Food good (short rib, sirloin strip, chilean sea bass). Only issue is that clearly their reservation system is not great and they likely overbook as there were 3 parties of 4 or more booked for 6:30pm last night and everyone had to wait at least 15-20 minutes to be seated.

   We love Metro North! The food, the atmosphere and the staff are all amazing! The clams casino and stuffed mushrooms were great (except you only get 4 clams). My fiance enjoyed the short raised ribs and I enjoyed their NY sirloin steak. Our friends enjoyed the butterfish and chicken marsala. The servers are all attentive and friendly,

   Tonight was an Italian night, with a meatball starter and Vodka rigatoni as the entree. Since I wanted room for dessert, I left some food on each plate but still managed to almost stuff myself with wonderful textures and flavors. And I did have room for dessert, my favorite, doughnut holes with caramel, ice cream, whipped cream and berries. As always, a welcome night.

   My husband and I love this restaurant. We never get a meal we don't like. I tried the steak and asked for it well done. Many restaurants are too cautious, and I wind up sending it back. But Metro North listened, and I really enjoyed it! The bread is better, too. They are using another supplier. We went through 2 baskets! The cocktails are wonderful. And everything is reasonably priced. The service is always fantastic. I see many of the same staff working there year after year. I think that really says something positive about the way they run their business. Everyone is always smiling, friendly, and knowledgeable. You CANNOT go wrong dining here!

    The overall experience at Metro North is always wonderful. As with all restaurants you need to find your preferred dishes and Metro is no different. They have a wide variety to choose from but they also have the service, the mixology and ambience to make it a dining experience. We had Monica as our waitress this time and Joanne previously, both know their profession and on top of that are very personable.
