Mia Francesca features the zesty, earthy cuisine of Rome and the surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. It was one of the first restaurants in Chicago to encourage the lively art of dining with a contemporary, casually sophisticated trattoria ambiance, simple, rustic cooking, friendly service, and fair prices.

Waiting for a table at the beautiful antique bar is part of the charm of Mia Francesca. The plush upstairs dining room and lounge can be reserved for private events, as can the more intimate coach house tucked away behind the restaurant. In the summer, al fresco dining is also available on a charming cobblestone terrace.

    Mia Francesca was fantastic! The food was flavorful and priced as expected. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. The manager came over and said hey and asked how everything was. I would come back again if back in Chicago

    Always great food. We’ve been coming yo this place for the past 22 years, even though we don’t live in Chicago anymore. Great to see it’s still there and food is still great. Bravo.

    We were in town for Christmas and wanted to have a nice meal on Christmas night. Everything from the food to the service was amazing. We had the funfetti cake special that they had for Christmas and it was delicious as well. Easily the best meal we have had in a while.

    Always a pleasure to dine here. Our server Ellen was great! We received attentive and personable service from her and the entire waitstaff. A beautiful place, great service , and delicious dinner!
