The restaurant was very crowded when we arrived but Maythe our server was very efficient. I had the fish and chips which were prepared perfectly and my wife had a Reuben sandwich. Both were very good. All in all a very pleasant experience. Midtown continues to be one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Fe.

We arrived to find the restaurant packed and immediately assumed that even with a reservation we would in for a long wait. It turned out to be the exact opposite. Delilah, our favorite server, took our order immediately and since we always order the same thing she knew exactly what we wanted. Our food was good as always and it turned out to be a very pleasant experience. Midtown continues to be one of four favorite restaurants in Santa Fe.

The people and service were very nice and the food was mediocre…. The chicken and cheese taquitos had no taste, the filet of beef was good although we had to send them back to be cooked medium because they came out very rare, the green chili mashed potatoes were not good and the tres leche cake was not very good either….it was sort of dry compared to others I’ve had. Sadly, I don’t think we’ll go back .

Usually Midtown Bistro is great! Expensive! Food is generally always good though! Will go back eventually only for a special occasion due to cost.

Let me start by saying that we went on Christmas Eve and there was a prefix menu for $120 per person, which, in Santa Fe is pretty standard. However, both the quantity and the quality of the meal were substandard. The restaurant offered a 3 course meal (soup/salad, entree, dessert), with optional sides (an additional $16 each) and optional appetizers (an additional $20 each). For my meal, I will say that my entree was delicious. I got a perfectly cooked filet mignon with green chili mashed potatoes and asparagus. That was without a doubt, the best part of the meal. However, I also got a tiny caesar salad with some avocado thrown on top, and a tres leches dessert that was underwhelming. My wife got a rack of Lamb (which was cold), a small bowl of soup, which was fair, and a pecan pie so dry and hard that I could have hammered nails in with it. Honestly, I'm not certain it wasn't bought from a grocery store. Our server was wonderful, the ambiance was fine, but for the cost of the meal, I expected far better.

I usually really enjoy Midtown Bistro...but today it was really hot...and the food was not up to par. This was disappointing!

The restaurant was decorated with much thought. The wait staff seemed to enjoy working there. We were totally pleased with the presentation of the food and the taste…it is a little gem.
