Honoring classic French cuisine, Mon Ami Gabi is a traditional French bistro located in the heart of Lincoln Park. Our menu features simple French food including Steak Frites, fresh seafood, exquisite bites, and French rolling wine carts. Valet is located at the corner of Lincoln Park West and Belden for $17 cash or Zelle. During the holiday season, for all parties of 9 or more, we ask our guests to call the restaurant directly to book a reservation.

Overall a top 3 worst dinning experience in Chicago I’ve had in the last 11 years living here. Terrible service, steak wasn’t cooked correctly, and a bug in my wine glass. Will not be back, and a terrible way to start the week.

A wonderful extensive menu however missing Ris d' veau one of my favourite bistro meals. The atmosphere is wonderful, lively and bursting with energy. We went with two of the bistro specials and both were fantastic. The escargot was perfectly prepared and the baguette that came with it was fresh and warm. I've already booked my next visit with three other friends.

Great food and service. The restaurant is on the ground floor of a high end apt building. The footprint of the restaurant is small, very little room between tables. We would absolutely go back to this place, but this is one thing to keep in mind.

Atmosphere was nice. We had early reservations (4p) and a party of 4. Because of how fast the restaurant filled up, I would have preferred a regular table over a corner booth because there was a small table for 2 right next to us that was occupied and if you needed to get up, you couldn't help but interrupt them and hope to not bump their table. The drinks, appetizers and dinner were all delicious (I would suggest the filet). Our server was wonderful and accommodating to any requests. We would definitely return.

Mussel broth not seasoned enough. Skate was ok, a bit mushy, potatoes and sauce were way too salty and cold. There was no toilet paper in my stall. Apple tart was delicious and the service (Abby) was good.
