   It had been many years since our last visit--not because of problems, but because Mona Lisa is a bit out of our way. From start to finish, an excellent experience. Attentive service, excellent food. We just with they used Raclette Cheese for the main, rather than mozzarella.

   Fantastic experience from start to finish. Our server was AWESOME. He caught some hilarious conversation snippets and rolled with it. The food was incredible, the wine pairings On Point. I definitely felt comfortable and taken care of for a gluten-free dinner along with my gluten-normal friends. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

   TLDR: Great service and friendly staff, very small servings of mediocre food. Please also read the low-star reviews. My husband and I saw this restaurant as we drove near downtown Manitou Springs and decided to try it for dinner that night. We were early for our reservation and they were able to seat us promptly so that was great! The front of house host was pleasant and friendly. Our waiter was also great! He explained everything to us and was super friendly. The food was mediocre. To be honest, all of our food seemed to be old. We ordered the old world cheese fondue ($28), traditional ($37) and wild game ($44) entree platters. We also ordered 2 cocktails ($30). That's $139. The veggies and bread that came with the cheese fondue seemed old. Bread was stale, veggies were oxidized. The cheese fondue was grainy and the wine base was too strong. The size of each piece on the entree platters were literally the size of a fun-size Snickers bar or smaller. And you only get one piece of each. Looking at other photos in reviews, our portions looked smaller than others. It was like eating a canapé, not an entree/main. The red meats were not vibrant red, but a tinge of gray. My Teriyaki filet didn't actually taste like beef because it was more gamey than the other beef piece, so maybe something got switched up in the kitchen? The one shrimp was a small shrimp. It just wasn't pleasant and definitely did not represent the price it was. Total bill with tip came up to $180. I wanted to like the place because I liked the vibe but the quality and value was just not there for me. It definitely left me with buyer's/diner's remorse.

   It was a very wonderful experience with my date tonight, and the service and fall special menu was fantastic!

   Mona Lisa has always been my husband's favorite restaurant. Our financial planner's took us there for his retirement. It was wonderful! Presentation of food, friendliness of staff, everything. Going there isn't a dinner but an event. So fun choosing each course. We will be back soon! Gina

    Amazing experience, as always, at the Mona Lisa!!!! Several friends and I visited to celebrate our 50th birthdays and we had an amazing time! The food was fabulous with so many options to choose from… even our pickiest eater found more options on the menu than she could eat! The staff was phenomenal and so incredibly hospitable. Anna took wonderful care of us! Every time I plan to be anywhere near Manitou Springs, I always make sure to visit the Mona Lisa. It will remain on my “must-do” list every time I am near!!!
