The award winning venue is located just off the historic Royal Mile and combines chic cocktail bar with intimate restaurant. Due to licensing restrictions Monteiths cannot accept children under the age of 5 at any time. Children aged 15 & under can be admitted until 10pm. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.

A very nice dinner! We enjoyed the starters and mains. Menu is more limited then I remember but it may of been due to the fact less items seemed exciting to me. They use fresh, local, ingredients and prepare them simply, and properly. Very fresh, and reflective of the local market Go here, you'll like it!

While the main menu had numerous choices, we lucked out on a Sunday evening for their roast dinner. Nostalgic flavors that made me miss my Mom!

First time here for (Sunday) lunch. It was outstanding. The best Yorkshire pudding I’ve ever had, the best Sunday lunch in Edinburgh!

Such a beautiful entrance and restaurant. The food was all amazing. We made a reservation and shared that we were celebrating a birthday. They added a candle to our desserts without us asking. Very thoughtful and a great experience overall.

I had a displeasing experience just on the arrival. II made the reservation for new years evening dinner, knowing that they don’t accept kids under 5. When I got to the place, they told me that my 12y kid was not allowed on the restaurant and couldn’t get us a table. After a long time waiting for a solution, they gave us a table, but the stressful situation made the night disappoint. They should make the rules more clear and not cause an embarrassing situation telling us to find some place else

We arrived on time for our reservation and still had to wait a half hour to be sat. My husband ordered the filet and it had no flavor. We came here two years ago and it was by far some of the best experience we’ve had. This time was a disappointment.
