Welcome to Murray's Restaurant. Minneapolis' original restaurant for steak since 1946 & home of the award winning Silver Butterknife Steak dinner for two. Also known for mouth watering garlic toast, Hickory Smoked shrimp appetizer, and home baked pies. Well into its third generation of family ownership, Murray's stands out among local and out of town diners alike as a true Twin Cities landmark & continues to provide the best in food and service as it did in 1946.

    We had the Silver Butter Knife Steak — definitely enough for two people, and delicious (ordered medium rare). We chose the Brussels sprouts for our side. Before the main course, my partner said her Caesar salad was the best she’d had, and I loved the French onion soup. That said, what really shined was the service.

    Steaks are amazing. We had smoked shrimp for appetizer and it was ok. The shrimp was chewy and overcooked so I would not recommend it. Everyone raves about the French onion soup but it is very salty for my taste. We were told that they have world famous secret recipe bread and again I have had better bread. If you go, go for the steaks and the raspberry pie.

    Our server Joey was AMAZING! A great server always make the night better. The support staff was also incredible and SO attentive. Thank you to all for making my husband birthday so lovely!

    Still the best steaks in town. Dennis provided excellent service. We were celebrating a birthday, and a complimentary dessert with a candle to blow out was provided.

    perfect special occasion experience. Anthony took care of us with exceptional service and recommended a perfect bottle of wine with our dinner. I am absolutely planning on returning to Murray’s the next time I am in Minneapolis.
