This Charleston locals’ favorite is nestled away in a historic home in downtown Charleston. The charming restaurant and intimate bar are reminiscent of a Mediterranean Villa, where Executive Chef, Josh Ogilvie, melds the cuisines of Italy, Spain, France, & Greece, featuring fresh preparations of Seafood, Fish, Savory Meats, Homemade Pastas, Homemade Bread, and Salads, all served by a warm and friendly serving staff. The extensive wine list complements the experience and offers 75 selections by the glass. The cozy bar empties out onto a terrace, offering outdoor dining and drinks. There are numerous menu items, which are gluten and dairy free and vegetarian, and there are vegan options as well.

This restaurant is so pretty and cozy. Service was really good and the food was good. Unfortunately out of the 3 dishes we ordered one was very under seasoned and it put a damper on the evening, specially considering the price.

This was our second dinner at Muse and like the first time, it was enjoyable. The owner is personable and friendly and remembered us from our last visit, which was nice for our egos. My husband enjoyed his Bibb lettuce salad with Granny Smith apples, dried cranberries, candied walnut and a flavorful vinaigrette. I selected PEI mussels and asked for bread so I could enjoy the lovely cooking liquid. They arrived without arrived the proper fork and the bread. By time I was able to flag down a waitperson the mussels were lukewarm at best. I ordered the catch of the day as my main course which was a beautifully prepared swordfish. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his veal saltimbocca. Muse is located in an old home with many different sized rooms and at peak service times it can be a bit loud and the staff harried. We will return the next we are in Charleston but will dine earlier.

Nice place with pretty mediocre food. I had the “special” which was NY Strip with demiglaze. The cut was some crappy piece of fatty meat. Not worth the $52 I spent on it

Abbie and Donny were above and beyond!! Made the whole experience better just having their banter and knowledge of the menu. We had a wonderful time and will for sure be back!

Came here for New years eve dinner - read many reviews, mostly positive and a few negative Honestly booked here originally due to good reviews and not a special NYE menu - a few days later was notified of a special NYE prix fix menu via text and a phone call confirming we were ok with menu they texted me - very communicative, friendly and accommodating for starters - ( goes a long way with me)Arrived to a really cool old house , decorated nicely with attentive waitstaff and delicious food! The lobster bisque was one of best i've ever had- Halibut was awesome and desserts were also delicious! Highly recommend!
