From building society, to bank, to BEAR – this ornate old banking hall site on Derby’s Iron Gate stood empty and forgotten for 9 long years… until we came along.BEAR Iron Gate, Derby sits slap-bang in the centre of the city’s iconic and beautiful Cathedral Quarter; the original hotspot for high-quality food and drink. Had a Champagne breakfast with friends. I just love this place from the moment you walk in to the time you leave the whole experience is fantastic. The staff always very professional and friendly and the food well oh my it’s excellent top quality ingredients cooked to perfection.

Really enjoyed our time at Bear this afternoon. The staff were wonderfully helpful and decorated a table for our friends baby bump get together! The food and drinks arrived really quickly and were all really tasty!
