This site was once a large marsh, fed by the River Great Ouse, but in the 1950s gravel extraction created a series of small lakes and pools which survives today. I've eaten here multiple times and always loved it. I'm vegetarian and gluten free and they have always looked after me. Today was a disappointment. The usual gluten free roll was replaced by thin dry sliced gluten free bread. I asked why I wasn't getting the usual roll and was told they've changed supplier so it was no longer available. I said the bread was very dry and was told that gluten free bread is dry. I've been coeliac for 13 years and today there are many gluten free breads that are NOT dry. Do disappointed. Didn't even get a free cup of tea as a sorry!
