Best restaurants near me in Del Mar, CA

The location is great; outside on the patio. It was Wednesday lunchtime so it was relatively quiet. There was a good mix of sun and shade. The service was terrific. The server was well versed on the menu and made some wonderful recommendations, when asked. He was very warm, friendly and considerate. The food was fresh and tasty. Two of us shared the Salt & Lime Salad with Shrimp, as well as the Cerviche Yucatan. Both were delicious. The shrimp was large and a decent amount. We shared the Lava Cake and the Churros for dessert. Good portions of all food. Delicious! Plan to come back and try other options.

It can get busy, best way to make sure you get a table is to make a reservation. Ordered a few things to try, Lomo Saltado, Macho, Beet Salad and a Ceviche Mixto. The ceviche was great probably a tad bit more salt and it would've been perfect Beet salad... Beets.. The Lomo was a tad salty for me but the meat was very tender and a good size portion of food. Macho was my favorite a good variety of seafood and lots of flavor.

A group of colleagues and I came to Beeside for a business lunch because it is one of our favorite spots in San Diego. We were seated right away on the balcony which was a bit breezy however we were brought a portable heat lamp plus we had an overhead heat lamp that was built in. The portable heat lamp went out and we asked several times if we could get a new heat lamp since it was chilly. The server was very nice but I think she got distracted so we never got the new heat lamp. Other than that, the service was excellent and the food was outstanding, as usual. We love Beeside. Thanks for a great meal!
