Built in 1880, The Inn was at one time a brothel, until it was raided by federal officers. The Inn was a favorite site of cowboys and teamsters, who appreciated the fine foods and jovial atmosphere.Over 100 years later, the Inn at Tres Pinos is now a San Benito County Historical Landmark, carefully restored by owner, Mike Howard. Mike's grandfather taught him the the art of fly-fishing, and every year the family still fishes together at the Big Wood River in Sun Valley, Idaho.     Great dining and ambiance. Wait staff and front of house personnel are top notch. Even with being in a high tourist area this restaurant delivers a five star experience at a reasonable cost. And they have been here for 45 years. We have been customers since opening. Who would have thought… Keep up the good work!

    Went on christmas eve. It was expectedly crowded. Food was awesome. Great service. Its a pricey place, we paid $180 for two people. But we don’t eat out much so it was great! The waitress was very nice, attentive. Not like Il Fornaio in Carmel on Thanksgiving. That place had horrible service!! Tarpys is great!
