I usually try and dine here once or twice a season with winter being the best time to visit. You are lucky enough to be seated downstairs on a bluebird day, you will struck by the awesome views of the serene snowy mountains outside the picture windows. Stunning. The food has been consistently good over the past few years, and the lobster roll does not disappoint. It’s a small to moderate portion, so if one is super hungry you may want to opt for the croque monsieur, as it too is delish, and a bit heartier. If you’re a table of four or more, you must also start your meal with fondue. Yum. Yum.

Had a family dinner during the holidays at Gretchen's in the Sun Valley Resort hotel. We were pleasantly surprised by the great food and service. It may have been the best overall meal we had during the entire trip. The staff was also incredibly detail-oriented and attentive, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.

Had a great lunch after snowshoeing on New Year’s Day. Eva was our server and she provided phenomenal service. Very friendly and professional. Water glasses stayed full, checked in often to see how our group was doing, gave excellent recommendations on both beverages and food. The food was great. Fish and chips, chicken mole salad and grilled cheese were favorites. They were busy and the manager was working hard alongside the servers to get everyone taken care of. Busy but everyone seemed to be well taken care of. Excellent overall.
