In 2017 Holly and Ali moved down to Plymouth for a new life away from London. Passion for all things pizza and years of hospitality life brought about Knead pizza.Starting in Plymouth market and honing our skills to try and work out our perfect pizza. We moved into The LHA garden in 2019 due to that thing we wont mention and started cooking with flame. We got ever closer to cracking and adapting the truest of neopolitan style dough into a perfectly soft, neo neapolitan light and flavoursome crust.Now after a stroke of luck we’ve moved to the amazing Prysten House 1498. It’s one of the oldest buildings in Plymouth built by Thomas Yogge, with a real Tuscan villa vibe and courtyard, Grade 1 listed and also the inspiration for Yogge our new pizza pal.

The dome-shaped venue on the Hoe, aptly named The Dome, was designed by architect Tony Irish. The Dome was first opened in July 1988 as part of Mayflower commemorations in Plymouth and started life as a local museum and tourist information centre.Designed to have the Art Deco feel and opulence of a 1930s ocean liner, the venue’s bar will feature an extensive wine and gin list, a selection of cocktails plus a full range of beers, ciders and soft drinks.The restaurant’s menu will feature fresh, local and seasonal produce and will include fish sourced from local day boats.     Starter of monkfish scampi needs attention, in my humble opinion: The homemade tartar sauce was bland, and the membrane was left on some of the monkfish chunks, which were unpleasant in the mouth. The main of short rib of beef was absolutely amazing. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her fish and chips and tiramasu. Overall, we really enjoyed it. I wouldn't let the disappointing starter put me off coming again.

    We had a double date with our friends at Knead Pizza! It was very nice - we loved the food and the atmosphere! We also loved being able to have our friends’ dog with us at dinner! The only confusing part was that one of the waitresses we talked to wasn’t aware of a promotion that was happening at the restaurant, however that was quickly resolved when we showed proof that the promotion is still applicable for us.

    ,having been out walking in the area we wanted to have a meal after our walk , but finish our walk about 16:00 gave us very little options, so we were glad to find this pub ,it catered for various dietary options and severed food all day on a Sunday, food was good service prompt.
