Before the James Beard Award and the Gourmet Magazine review, Lotus of Siam was a small little hole in the wall located in Commercial Center in Las Vegas. November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Chef Saipin’s distinct cooking has been passed down from generation to generation, from both her grandmothers and her husband’s grandmothers. Her northern style cooking has opened America into the “Northern” world of Thailand, away from the Bangkok style of sweet and tang.     We were very apprehensive about taking an outside table because the temps were in the mid 40's. The outside area was very comfortable and laid out with heaters everywhere. The views alone are worth the trip to this wonderful restaurant. But the food was delicious as well. We shared a Ceasar salad and a hangar steak, and it was cooked to perfection. Our server was excellent and was regularly checking up on us. I could not have been any more pleased with my experience. A+

    Finally got to experience Hells Kitchen and it was wonderful. Had the 3 course meal as it was all the items I wanted and upgraded it with fois gras and truffle shavings. Highly recommend this spot and make a reservation early as possible as it’s crazy busy

    We live in Arizona, but make it a point to eat at Lotus of Siam at least once a month. The 1.5 hour drive is well worth it! This is definitely our #1 restaurant in Las Vegas!

    We dined on Christmas Day @ 10:15 AM. We had reservations so we were seated immediately. The offerings were plentiful and varied....from Asian, Mexican, Italian, Seafood Station, Carving table, omelets. Our server was a bit laggy, we had to flag her down for refills on coffee and water. The ambience is nice if a tad confusing...I had to remember where we were seated. The price was $99 a person....pricey yes but it was the holiday so no whining. Overall it was very enjoyable and they had good Christmas music as the soundtrack.
