Love it. Have been twice now and we want to come back more!

Had a great time at Montesacro Saturday night. The drink program is fantastic. We really enjoyed the Pistachio creme espresso martinis and the gin drinks. The ambiance has just the right lighting and noise level for a night out. The service was not rushed and we were able to linger, order items along the way and really have a relaxing meal. This is a great addition to the Walnut Creek dining options and really had a European feel. Food-wise, the special salad with garbonzos, fennel and citrus was refreshing and light and the Pulpo was cooked perfectly. The pizzas have the best crust, but the Margarita pizza with arugula was a little flat. Could have used a little finishing salt or something. We added a little Calabrian chili oil, which adding a nice zing. The Cacio e Pepe was perfectly cooked and nice and creamy. We added some chili flakes to cut the creaminess, yum. The flourless chocolate cake was the only real dud of the evening. It was not the dense flourless chocolate cake we were expecting. Tasted and texture was more like a cupcake, really dry and fell apart, very little taste. Overall, a great evening out with friends.

We have been here many times and have had great experiences. Took two friends for their first time. Ordered some of our favorites. Tasted as expected. Issue was with our main courses. The food runners put the wrong meals in front of us. Not being familiar with the dishes ( ordered for the first time) my friends started eating before realizing the mix up. The waiter explained the mixup and ordered new food post haste. However the food runners mixed up the desserts. Good thing I know chocolate when I see it or in this case didn’t see it. We will be back because the food is good

Amanda was very kind and helped us at the counter with our card issues. Vidal was our server for the evening and despite him training another server, his service was great! There is a sign at the restaurant area that says "Open Seating" which means that there is no host or hostess. We had to speak with a manager about our "Open Table Reservation." However, it was resolved quickly.

Food is good! Great selection and portion are big! The wings are really good and Jambalaya.
