My fiancé and I celebrated our fourth anniversary at Skates. Our server, Nicole, made our visit special with her upbeat manner and attention to detail. She made delicious menu suggestions, wine comparisons, and even presented us with a surprise dessert to cap off our well-prepared meal. The portions are sizable, the food is delectable, and each course enhanced the next. Thank you to everyone at Skates (especially Nicole) for making our evening memorable.

Really excellent service, it was a busy night but our server was always kind and attentive, and she had great suggestions. I will be thinking about the tuna carpaccio for a long time.

This neighborhood gem is my 'go to' for MANY occasions -- whether a get together with an oold friend over a quiet lunch, a festive evening celebration of birthday or other events. the food is terrific, ambience like few other places these days...and the food AND service consistently excellent, (the servers very genuinely warm, responsive, and personal.. -- we had both Thelma and Jose waiting on us today..we had the risotto (just gorgeous) and the salad barbetiole (beet salad) with grilled shrimp -- both perfect.. lunch came to 30 a piece without drinks..but beyond worth it.. and i love what they did with the decor of the old 'Hotel Mac' --transforming a somewhat stale stodgy place into an airy, elegant place for all occasions.. Baincoverde has become not only a favorite of those of us who live in Point Richmond, but for many others...well worth the drive over.

The pinsia colada was amazing and fresh. The mole was delicious. Great presentation. Loved it.

food was great, and the view and ambience are unbeatable, and our server was very nice, but the service was extremely slow but I will go back again because they've just reopened under new management and they have a good menu as well.
