- VViktotiavipChicago / Illinois •3 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoAbsolutely outstanding! This restaurant has some of the best Mediterranean flavors I’ve ever experienced. The Lavraki was perfectly cooked—crispy on the outside, tender and flaky inside, with just the right touch of seasoning. The beet salad was a fresh and vibrant masterpiece, beautifully balanced with flavors and textures. The Tzatziki was creamy, tangy, and the perfect complement to the meal. And don’t even get me started on the baklava— frozen yogurt, crispy pastry sheets, honey with just the right amount of sweetness to end the meal on a high note. From start to finish, the food was impeccable, and the service was warm and attentive. Highly recommend!More infoAndros TavernaPrice: Moderate• Greek• Logan Square•4.7
- JJulieChicago / Illinois •2 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoI saw Aneyla featured on an email from Michelin which announced it as one of the 3 new restraunts in Chicago(2024), recognized with the prestigious title. The food was appealing to all senses and the staff was knowledgeable and helpful in explaining various options and providing recommendations or suggestions for an exceptional meal! The ambience, lighting and decor is similar to an true European experience. Aneyla's chefs, servers and staff definitely meet Michelin quality and are deserving of that status!More infoAnelyaPrice: Expensive• Ukrainian• Avondale•4.6

I moved to Logan Square about four months ago and this restaurant came highly recommended by so many. The ravioli and the rigatoni were absolutely divine! So wonderful to have this gem just a few blocks away. Highly recommend!More infoDaisies ChicagoPrice: Expensive• American• Logan Square•4.7
- SSandyvipToronto / Ontario •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe had a great experience at Akahoshi Ramen. Casper was wonderful and attentive! We sat at the counter and enjoyed sipping on our delicious cocktails as we watched the ramen being made! My husband enjoyed the midwestern ramen and I had the Akahoshi. It was SO delicious that my husband had a second round of ramen. HIGHLY recommend and cannot wait to visit here again. Until then, I’ll be dreaming about it.More infoAkahoshi RamenPrice: Moderate• Japanese• Logan Square•4.8

Discover Avondale
Polish is spoken as much as English in Chicago's Avondale neighborhood. These streets are home to generations of Polish families, so you can expect kielbasa, pierogis and sauerkraut to be staples in the dining fare. The multicultural population means that you'll find that local menus bear the influences of Eastern European as well as various Latino cultures. The nearby Irving Park neighborhood, which is lined with Victorian homes and Chicago bungalows, has historically been a home for many Serbians. European delis and bakeries offering Balkan cuisine, consisting of different types of smoked meats, kabobs and delicate pastries, are neighborhood fixtures. Amid the rich multicultural fabric of Avondale and Irving Park, the dive bars, cafes and full-service trattoria still serve as prime hangouts for the younger crowd.
