Price: Expensive•Italian•4.7(2,152)Chef Frank Bonanno dug into his Sicilian heritage and east coast roots to create this authentic, rustic Italian eatery. Luca has amazing personal touches from the daily made breads and pastas to the meats and cheeses cured in house, to the charcoal drawing of Bonanno’s son (and the restaurant’s namesake) that hangs in the dining room. Luca is heartwarming and satisfying from the wood-fired pizzas to the hand-rolled pastas to the perfectly seared proteins. It’s not your ordinary pile-of-pasta-and-sauce Italian joint; it’s the real (and tasty) deal.
The Ponti at the Denver Art Museum
Price: Moderate•Contemporary American•4.6(868)The Ponti presents a locally sourced and inspired menu, emphasizing vegetables, ancient grains, and heirloom legumes, complemented by handmade pastas, fish, and meat. Open for lunch, drinks, and small bites every day and dinner on Tuesdays!Buckhorn Exchange
Price: Very Expensive•Steakhouse•4.7(2,280)Welcome to a taste of history!
Denver’s original steakhouse, The Buckhorn Exchange is located in the city’s oldest neighborhood, just 5-minutes from downtown Denver -- with a light-rail stop right across the street. This National Historic Landmark and Western Museum has been serving the finest in Old West fare since 1893.
Prime grade beef steaks, buffalo prime rib, elk, salmon, quail, game hen, and succulent baby-back pork ribs are just some of the marvelous offerings on the Buckhorn menu. Exotic appetizers such as alligator tail and buffalo sausage are available, and no dinner is complete without the house specialty, Rocky Mountain Oysters.
For lunch we serve up a lighter fare including our renowned Grandma Fanny’s pot roast sandwich, enormous beef and buffalo burgers and more!

- JJamesVIPDenver / Colorado •655 reviews5.0Dined todayWhile nobody even wished me a Happy Birthday (the exact day and it was on the reservation notes), everything was terrific. Familiar with the now-closed original NYC location, thrilled to have them here in Denver where, based on this first-time visit, it's even better. Coming during Restaurant Week, it was a good chance to try multiple courses, times 2 people, and every dish was outstanding. Well-plated, good portions and flavors...just wow. We'll be back regularly!More infoLe Colonial - DenverPrice: Expensive• Vietnamese• Cherry Creek•4.7
- LLisaVIPDenver / Colorado •158 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had an absolutely wonderful meal during restaurant week. Three excellent courses of the very best quality. The PEI mussels, shaved brussel sprout salad ,mushroom pasta, short rib/polenta , chicken burrata Parmesan all were spectacular. Service was very good . It was crowded and somewhat loud but we had an excellent table near window . A great value for such a gourmet dinner. We will definitely be back.More infoLucaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Central•4.7
- LLisetteGreater Boston •5 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoAn incredible experience! Our server, Steven, was exceptionally kind and attentive. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday, and the staff went above and beyond by giving her a heartfelt birthday card signed by the team—a truly personal touch unlike anything I’ve experienced at a restaurant. The octopus, filet mignon, and Caesar salad were all flawless, easily a 10/10. And the cookies for dessert? The perfect finishing touch!More infoGuard & Grace - DenverPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown / LoDo•4.9
