Wonderful experience. Attentive service, creative cocktails, fine wines, tasty dishes, located in downtown Waimea, Parker Ranch territory the heart of cattle kingdom on the Big Island, YES there is a five star restaurant; Merriman’s. Never disappoints. Wonderful experience.

We live on an island where restaurants or any business try their best to provide a service to please patrons! Not all patrons will appreciate services received! But I appreciate the effort that all our local businesses make to provide the best service - food, ambience, service, etc. But as Local ohana - we appreciate our state and island small business and all business that help to benefit our economy and its residents!

we have eaten their twice on our vacation (maybe a third time) Dinner 1) we split a forc salad, it was fresh and delicious, my wife had the surf and turf (butter fish and short ribs) she loved it and I had the Portuguese chicken which was delicious and hearty, great flavors and I didn't need a knife, it fell off the bone. Dinner 2) same salad and my wife had the Butterfish with rice and carrots, nice big piece of fish, seasoned with miso, delicious and I had their version of Loco Moco, nice big steak with gravy, a perfectly cooked egg over scrumptious garlic fried rice, unreal meal and I am a big eater and it filled me up, also the Portuguese bread sweet and delish. Great service (we had the same server both nights, she was sweet and a very good server who knew the menu. The Chef actually came out to our table and asked how our food was. Excellent experience, We would recommend in a second. Excellent craft cocktails as well

In general everyone is nice and works hard to be sure we are getting the best service and our food is hot when it get to you . Hi top bar worker (who makes the sushi greets us by our name you don’t see that in other restaurants. Sorry Brother I don’t remember his name 🫢 we always have a great experience, even if we came in crumbling with each other we always enjoy our selfs at the end of the night . Thanks to everyone who always makes our visit returnable.

An impeccable experience. Not to be missed. This gourmet level of sushi creation and presentation is fantastic. They only takes six guests each seating, so book early for a wonderful moment in your food memory.
