Lovely bar area by the fire with wood panelling but spoilt by 3 pictures all the same but different colours. One with what seemed red blood painted dripping from the painting over the frame ! Starters were excellent, my friend enjoyed her fishcake with a perfectly poached egg. My shepherd’s pie was good. The creamed spinach was very good. A well chilled bottle of Chenin Blanc complemented the meal. Thank you.
