Discover Ridgeland
There are a lot of great things to eat in Jackson, Mississippi, especially in the city's Ridgeland neighborhood. It's a great place to enjoy Southern cuisine cooked in the Mississippi style. The main thing to remember before sitting down to indulge yourself in this brand of Southern cuisine is that it’s especially rich and hearty. For main course staples, expect some surprises like Mud Bugs, crawfish seasoned heavily with garlic and served with decadent, old-fashioned side dishes like potatoes, more garlic, corn, mushrooms and hearty sausage. Don't forget to save room for what is probably the top-ranking local favorite, the Mississippi mud pie.
