Birchington Restaurants

This is an amazing find on our doorstep! It was my partners birthday today and I bought him and his dad for lunch. The service was very personal, and the staff catered for each of our needs beautifully! The food was absolutely outstanding, presented in a wonderful way. The ambience was second to none! Quiet, not rushed, and not all packed into a busy restaurant! Totally and utterly 1 million per cent all round, do not hesitate, just book! You will not be disappointed!

My friend and I very much enjoyed our lunch. The food was hit and tasty as was the coffees. Reasonably priced with outstanding views over the bay. Polite and attentive staff nothing was too much trouble. Could have been a little warmer, was no means cold, but a a little more warmth wouldn't have been amiss.

Great vibe as soon as we arrived. Staff very welcoming. Food order was taken promptly and food arrived in good time, hot and the flavours were the star of the show. Some of the best bbq food we’ve ever tasted. Plenty of food from the platter for the 4 of us. Great value. Staff very engaging when questioned about the different meats they have etc. Can’t wait to try more at the new restaurant & hopefully see Smoke & Co at food festivals in years to come. 10/10 would recommend.

A really great first visit to the George and Heart - a welcoming, quirky and chilled pub with a great relaxed atmosphere, cool tiki hut style electric style and great food and drinks. Lovely service and overall a great evening - we were visiting Margate for our anniversary and staying locally but the pub has rooms too and from the look of them online we’d definitely consider staying here next time.
