   This was our 3rd time at NY Prine, Boca Raton Fl. Apparently, others may not be as "Selective" as we are, because it is always busy. Or perhaps it's because there are so many NYers here in Boca Raton, especially during the season. The Valet service took EVERY SPOT on their property and made you walk from a private, unmarked parking garage. No sign said it was OK to park there. The valet yelled at me when in frustration I used one of his spots anyway. There is nothing special about this overpriced place. There are many other Steak Houses with better food and options all within 1/2 a mile from here. Abe and Louies, Mortons, Capital Grill. 2 of us both had Lump Crabcake off the limited choices for appetizers. They were served floating on a plate full of a nasty, bitter, mustard sauce and not on the side as an option. Unedible. They were sent back. Instead I got a Parnesian covered Baked Shrimp. A tasteless mistake. Simple garlic butter or cocktail sauce would have been a much better way to go versus the way these were served. My wife got a Caesar salad that contained no anchovies (that we like and expect at a steakhouse) and it was overwhelmed with a vinegar caesar dressing that seemed like it could be straight from the bottle. Our 2 main courses were good, not for what they charged for them. Not great or excellent, good. A NY strip and a double Veal Chop. Service was fine and accomodating. As a nice gesture, we were served a large scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream with a chocolate chip cookie and a candle in it as it was our anniversary. It was good and just enough to top off the meal. And it was a better option than anything offered on their dessert menu. In conclusion, if you've been here and like it, great. To each his own. On or 1st two trips we needed to send back steaks as they weren't cooked to requested temperature. It happens. But with so many other options, I don't see ourselves going back here anytime soon. I'd rather take a 3-1/2 hr. drive to Berns in Tampa.

   Mason was our server. The food is always SOOOO DELICIOUS. Mason was so lovely and patient with us. We practically closed down the restaurant with old friends and had the most delightful evening. Steak houses keep opening in Boca but NY Prime remains one of the most delicious. Jerry, the owner, still stops at every table to say hello!!!

   We have been dining here since the restaurant opened nearly 30 years ago. The food is consistently great and the service and atmosphere are wonderful. This time we had our usual baked shrimp appetizer which is the best anywhere. This was followed by a shared Tomahawk ribeye which was tender and flavorful. The side of asparagus was also good. Will probably be back again next week.

    The New York strip was the best I've had. The place has the best steaks, great ambiance, great service, and live music! What else could you ask for?
