    My wife and I have been coming to New York Prime at least once each year for 24 years. It is by far our favorite restaurant in Myrtle Beach. This trip we noticed a significant decline in a few areas. While still very good, our favorite sides, creamed spinach and home fried potatoes were not up to their usual excellence. Our steaks were their usual outstanding quality, prepared to exactly the right temperature. In the service department, it was its usual very good, however missing an item or two which we are used to, such as placing our napkins and being certain my wife was properly seated. We will continue to dine at New York Prime when we travel to Myrtle Beach.

    We reserved a table for 4 at the recommendation of our concierge at The Anderson Ocean Club. Christian, our server, was outstanding. My husband and I split a Delmonica steak and ordered it pink, medium rare. My portion was overdone and dry. The chef offered to redo the steak; however, we were booked for a show after the meal and didn’t have the time. The staff took half of the price of the steak off. When you dine at a restaurant that specializes in steak, it’s disappointing to have it be dry and overdone. The side dishes of mushrooms, onions, and Brussel sprouts to be shared by the table were very good as were the wedge and chopped Italian salads.

    Knowing the truck was delayed the manager should have made sure all menu items would be available for patrons. We did not experience that. Our server was wonderful.

    It was a wonderful dining experience. The food was sublime and service excellent. We had oysters on the half shell, oyster Rockefeller, caesar, bone in ribeye, and lobster. Wish we had room for dessert- next time for sure!!

    We’ve made a tradition out of coming here every Christmas Day for 8 years. Never ever disappointed. Food and service is top shelf from the bar to table service.
