    We used to love the ribeye melt but over the years and the last three orders, It just seems to be an average sandwich. It’s missing rich flavors and seasoning perhaps more of the wine onions or add an aïoli sauce. I don’t mind paying $25 for a great sandwich, but the sandwiches that we had, were just ok and not knock it out of the park Awesome as they once used to be. In the past we as a family would usually go there just for the ribeye melt sandwiches. We do like Nicks and we will be back, but no ribeye melt for me.

    The food was amazing, great flavors and unique textures, the ribeye melt was amazing, so was the Thai spicy salad.

    Our waiter was very friendly and good at his job. But we’ll never know why the woman who attended the reservations couldn’t muster a smile or real greeting. We ordered before the people at the adjacent table and received our food afterward. We love Nick’s in Long Beach. Manhattan Beach Nick’s might not love us so much.

    A go-to lunch place. Portions are large. Recommend the chicken sandwich, prime rib sandwich and the meatloaf.
