   I ordered the blackened fish sandwich for the first time, the flavor was okay and I couldn’t even bite it because it was too high. Beautiful presentation but o couldn’t open my mouth big enough to bite it. I had to cut it which defeated the purpose of the sandwich. I told the waitress and she just laughed at me. It was my first experience at the San Clemente Nick’s and I wouldn’t go back. I love Nick’s, one of my favorite places but not this location.

   Conner is an excellent server: professional and engaging. He took very good care of us and was attentive, as well as anticipated our needs. Worth the 2000 mile flight for our anniversary.

   We had a pleasant high top table in the corner. Very comfortable. The ambiance was pleasant, though a little loud. We had to strain to talk across the table. The food was as perfect as ever. We had the calamari, petite bistro, and Salmon. And an Old Fashioned to relax. We come to Nicks a few times a year and it never disappoints. Excited to come back again.

    First time dining here in a while. The table was a little cramped and the acoustics are still not great so it’s very loud and hard to have a dialog with my guest. The food was fantastic and Conner our server was friendly and helpful. The fish sandwich was amazing. The ingredients all complimented the well cooked fish. The cheeseburger was also cooked perfectly and the fries were delicious. We were celebrating birthday and Conner brought out a nice petite chocolate cake which was scrumptious. Would dine here again but preferably during an off hour so it wouldn’t be so noisy.
