As the first uptown New York location for legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, we opened with much anticipation in the summer of 2005.Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood film producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature new style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Tiradito Nobu Style and Black Cod Miso. The restaurant received three stars from the New York Times.

The food was just okay for the price. Portions were really tiny too for the price. Probably would not go back again

Amazing Birthday Lunch at Nobu Celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday at Nobu, and it was perfect. The atmosphere was elegant, the service flawless, and the food absolutely top-tier. From the fresh sushi to the melt-in-your-mouth Black Cod Miso, every bite was unforgettable. They even made the celebration feel personal with thoughtful touches. An incredible experience we’ll always remember!

My partner and I visited Nobu 57 last night, we truly enjoy that restaurant this is our fourth time visiting the Nobu franchise. This particular time we made reservations, but decided to sit at the bar. Simply for a more interactive experience the service is great. Everyone is very vigilant. However, there was an older male seated next to us with two young ladies. We were seated at the tables behind the bar area throughout the night, a lot of clumsiness transpired with the table next to us such as broken glasses and drink spilling. We tried our best to disregard the chaos and enjoy our night. However, the chaos escalated as they were leaving and one of the young ladies spilled a drink on my partner’s jacket. This was a bit upsetting because the jacket is costly and it ranked of alcohol till this very moment. The waitress was very pleasant by calling over the manager to assess the situation. The manager was very kind and provided his business card for any future visits. I did order dessert, which was kindly taken off the bill due to the circumstances. We just came in to have a good time to clear our minds we ordered mainly appetizers and one drink each which totaled up to roughly around $225. I was just wishing more of a discount was provided due to the inconvenience that transpired. there were multiple instances of chaos regarding the table next to us that took place.

Haven’t been to Nobu in years. It was an odd time, 2pm on a Monday, so maybe the A team wasn’t working, but sushi was okay at best. I only kept eating out of obligation of the prices. Apps were good. Miso cod used to be a star but was also average. Specialty cocktail was $23 - fine, but it was 3 sips. Server was attentive. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a smaller cocktail. I’m okay paying NYC prices for food, but it should be knock out.
