   Palisade markets itself as a restaurant ideal for special occasions. That sets a high bar. But it not only met but exceeded those expectations, with excellent food, attentive and efficient service, always a beautiful setting, and a very fair value for delivering a special experience and high quality food. Everyone came away happy. And they get extra credit for being one of the only places not only open on Christmas but also able to accommodate larger parties.

   This is the all time best ‘special occasion’ place! This time it was for Christmas Eve…we could only get a late-ish reservation (8:30) but the place was PACKED! A big thanks to all of the employees working that night, we tipped them well. The food was spectacular. Our server took care of us like we were the only table in the place. We had a wonderful window table, overlooking the harbor, the city, and all the Christmas lights. Thank you for a memorable evening.

   Service was adequate. Wait time with reservation was ok. Food was pretty mediocre. Both our Prime Ribs were VERY tough and both Prime Rib and potatoes were stone cold. VERY LONG wait time between starters and entree which made us wonder if our food got overlooked and got cold waiting to be delivered. Prime Rib was SO tough I could not cut it - we even used my husband's pocket knife on it and it would not cut. Manager gave us another piece to take home. Hopefully it is not as tough -- at least we can control the temperature at home. With it being Christmas Eve, they were absolutely heaving with customers but no excuse for tough meat. This is our 2nd visit here --- will not return.

   Price fixe menu for Christmas Eve was excellent. Seating was 30 min past resv time- disappointing to stand in the entryway that long. Took a LOOOONG time for server to come by. We finally got drinks 65 min past resv time. Then, salads and entrees came out within 30 seconds of each other, so we didn’t get to eat the salads. Fairly disappointing experience. Crammed into table which had been shoved in between two others. “Water view” faced the water station.

   I love this spot...great food and service , upgrade the beer selection, we live in the craft beer mecca of America. have some Seapine or even some Fremont or Rubens Brews. But I survived

   My wife, my grown-up daughter, and I enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner at Palisade. It was all great: fast service leading us to our table (reserved ahead of time), excellent food, great view of the marina and downtown Seattle, and the food was served at a slow speed so we could enjoy a 2 hour dinner with good conversation. The price was higher than what we usually experience when we go to a restaurant for dinner. However, the price was as expected on a Christmas Eve at a first class restaurant.

   This experience was disappointing to say the least. We have dined here many times over the last 20 years but haven’t been in about 5years. The service was slow, some of our food was cold, my salmon was overcooked, the wine we selected was unavailable, the dirty plates weren’t cleared before new plates arrived, the salads arrived 10 mins apart, we had to remind them of a raw bar item we ordered, we waited a very long time to pay our bill (while our server was chatting with her co-worker in full view of us). This is an expensive experience to have any of those things above not be great. The space is beautiful and the calamari was delicious.

   We went for a family holiday dinner with family from out of town. We’ve been planning this for several months. After being seated, we waited about 15 minutes before someone came to get our drink order. We ordered several appetizers. And also ordered our entree. We expected the appetizers to come out after we received our drinks. After about 20 more minutes they brought out the dinner soup and salad. No appetizers When they finally did come with them, it wasn’t we ordered. Our entrees were very good. It’s too bad the service was not up to par.

   The only issue that led to this review was they were shot staffed which led to an average holiday lunch experience. They should have called in a manager to help.

    Food, server, and setting were fabulous. A little frustrated that we were seated 20 minutes after our our reservation time - they were overwhelmed and needed to allow servers to catch up. Server was wonderful, but drinks and food took awhile to come out. Great location for a celebration.
