About this restaurant

  • Good for special occasions
  • Lively
  • Neighborhood gem
Stephen Starr's stylish addition to Rittenhouse Square pays tribute to French cafe culture, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, ideal for a quick bite or a leisurely meal. Parc recalls the chic brasseries of Paris, serving classic French fare in a charming space. Red leather banquettes topped with frosted glass provide a sense of intimacy. Details such as well-worn wooden chairs, vintage framed paintings and photos and antique brass fixtures transport guests across the Atlantic. French doors spill onto a sidewalk terrace covered by a dark red awning perfect for dining "en plein air."

As most have said, the food is wonderful. But having been here a few times, the service can be hit or miss. During our latest visit at dinner, it took a long time after seating for the server to show up, and even longer to take our drink order (about a full 15-20 minutes). They were busy, but it was still a long time to sit there. Everyone around us had bread and we thought it would eventually show up. We asked about the bread when our entrees arrived. Then we had to track someone down for bread plates and ask for water refills. It detracts from the evening when you're constantly having to ask for things that you shouldn't have to.

I have been to Parc 4 times in the past three months and the service is always wonderful. My husband and I will continue to keep coming as we feel very valued while dining here. The manager Matt is awesome!

We love Parc but felt forgotten today. The food was wonderful but the service was poor . It took about 20 minutes to get our first drink and 30 minutes to get our second as we were finishing our meal we had to ask for bread several times like no one wanted to give it to us. It was probably just a bad day for this wonderful restaurant and a bad day for us.

We were pleased with food and service however the noise level was very high. Knowing that American diners are sadly not like the French or Europeans who speak in low tones-I wish all restaurants would add some sound baffling because I don’t think my fellow Americans are likely to find their “inside voices” in my lifetime. Quel dommage!

I’ve only had lunch at Parc but on several occasions. You can’t beat the ambience and the service is excellent.

Our waiter was excellent. Paid attention to our needs and conversation, regarding particulars of the meal. They were super busy, so the bus service was a little light. I had to refill my own water at one point. But luckily it was right behind me. The noise level was ridiculous. They should consider the possibility of some baffles somewhere to help absorb the noise. We could barely hear one another speak. Other than that, it was an overall good experience.
