Decent cuisine, but extremely erratic service with multiple mistakes. Waited over 30 minutes for the first course. Added an automatic 20% tip to the bill. Very overpriced.

Early on a Wednesday evening for dinner. Sat on back patio and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Service was attentive and timely, food was delicious and as more patrons arrived , noise level was low and not distracting. Best French menu in Pittsburgh!

Our server for the evening was incompetent. We ordered mussels and were given no plates or utensils. We ate them with our fingers and left the shells in the tablecloth. The server looked over multiple times and did absolutely nothing, until I complained to a manager, and was then given plates and bowls for the empty shells. We also ordered a cheese plate, and the server had no idea what cheeses were on the plate! I ordered a semi expensive bottle of wine, which was opened and left at the table for me to pour myself. The server only poured later when the meal was done, and poured out the sediment into my glass from the bottle that I had put off to the side because all night the drinkable wine was gone. I pointed out all of these flaws to the owner. who took zero responsibility. He said that the waiter is a fill in waiter who usually isn't there. The owner told me to come back again and everything would be better. No comps, no apologies, no anything. To top it all off a 20% tip was added to the bill....$125 for terrible service and ok food. Really.

My name is Frederic Rongier, born in Paris, France and I am the proprietor of Paris 66 since 2008. When you are having a beautiful dinner at my restaurant, you are in Paris, not in Pittsburgh anymore. Just like in Paris, France, we do not comp at Paris 66. Have you ever been dining at a restaurant in France? I came to your table, I asked you to be understanding and I apologized to you about Tyrone, your server, for not bringing a plate to your table for your empty shells and also for not pouring your wine. Why are you saying that I did not care? That I did not apologize? I don't understand...

Response to owner: the rest of our party arrived 5 minutes after we entered. My husband and I ordered a cocktail and before it arrived, our party had arrived. Also, unfortunately, we were drinking so I can remember quite clearly our interaction. We were there for so long because of the following: took 15 minutes for the rest of our party to order a cocktail, the bottle of wine we had ordered was sold out and that took over 10 minutes before that information was shared with us. We ordered 3 dessert which took 20 minutes. A man did not pull me from the door, and your aggressiveness, bottom line, was unwarranted and once again, uncomfortable. I see in your review responses that you like to respond aggressively to anyone that has an experience with YOU that was similar to mine. You told me that you would “find me and review me”, so this behavior was unfortunately expected. This is not how you conduct yourself as a business owner or for that matter as a human being. I hope that no man ever treats your daughter the way you treated me last evening. I was walking out of your restaurant, and you made your creepy review comment to me UNPROVOKED. 6:30 reservation on a Saturday night. Service was very slow, but server was nice. Dinner took 3 hrs. When the check was returned to the table, a credit card service fee was charged but was it was not stated what the charge was for on the check. Owner was asked what the charge was for and became immediately combative. As we were walking out, the owner yelled at us not to write a bad review as he will find us and write a bad review…. The owner proceeded to stick his finger towards me and, in essence, chased me, a 40 year old woman quite aggressively out of the restaurant to the point that I felt the need to shut the door to his restaurant behind me to get away from him. Was a very uncomfortable situation and very unwarranted after a marathon dining experience and an $800 check.

What you wrote is a lie. Let me refresh your memory so everyone can understand what really happened: 6:30 reservation on an extremely busy Saturday night. 2 guests arrived on time but the other 4 arrived 20 minutes later. Dinner took only 2H30 minutes which is totally normal for 6. A man who was apparently drunk came to me asking me why there was a 4% fee. I explained that it was 3% and not 4 and that it is now an industry wide practice. He told me to F myself. Very nice language...I also told him that the fees are displayed on the menu and in front of the restaurant. When the gentleman was leaving, he insulted me again with the same F words and mocking me. Everyone was shocked. I told him that he was fired and not to come back ever again. I did not "chase you". I did not stick my finger to

First time at Paris 66 and the service and lunch was great! The martinis were cold and the fries were hot and delicious. If not for the issues with my reservation, I would return.

The food was good and the waiter was nice, but when we arrived ,we were told that we have to hurry up because the kitchen is closing at 2 pm. When we booked the restaurant for 2 pm nothing was mentioned. The restaurant should not offer booking slots for 2 pm if their kitchen closes at that time.

Thank you for your review. My name is Frederic Rongier, proprietor of Paris 66 and I apologize for this behavior. You are correct, the kitchen does not close at 2:00 pm. The last reservation is at 2:00 pm on Sundays. My kitchen staff stays until our last reservation has been served, not before. I talked to my manager and what happened is that you arrived 5 minutes after 2:00 pm. We sent you a text message letting you know that your table was ready but you did not respond to let us know that you were going to be late. They were afraid that you forgot about your reservation and our kitchen staff was getting ready to leave. I apologize again. We are looking forward to having you again very soon for a much better authentic Parisian dining experience. A très bientôt! ❤️🇫🇷❤️.

We really enjoyed our brunch at Pier 66. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant. The service was top notch. Expect to pay more than you normally might, but everything was freshly made. It's a great place for a special occasion brunch with family and friends.
