Perry’s on the Embarcadero is a sleek waterfront outpost of the Union Street original, following the same combination of all-American favorite fare and comfortable, welcoming service that Perry’s first made a San Francisco hallmark in 1969. The décor is warm – murals reminiscent of the memorabilia made famous on Union Street, combined with exposed brick walls, a wood-burning fireplace and breathtaking views of the Bay and the Bay Bridge.

Perry’s is known today, as much as ever, for its classic American food, its warm personable service and its fun, bustling bar. Perry's traditional yet innovative menu includes a wide variety of sandwiches, salads, pastas, steaks and grilled fresh fish. Excellent service and the food was great. Enjoyed the steak salad and French onion soup was cheesy and delicious. Nice view by the window as well.

Please note: if you usually split or ask for separate checks they can only take 3 cards per table. Not sure why cause no one carries cash so we had to ruin a fun lunch trying to figure out who’s credit card we’d use. Also be aware each check has the employee fee automatically added before tax & tip. Yes it is San Francisco!!

We sat outdoors. View was great. Not that many people around for Monday lunch so figured the business meal with a visiting colleague was a safe bet at Perrys. Boy, was I wrong. Service was frustratingly slow, so slow we are never coming here again.
