Great food and service. Only negative is it’s a little loud at peak time on Sat night. And we had a table of 6 so it was a little hard to hear each other. Otherwise, excellent!

Persimmon is our favorite restaurant in Bethesda. The owners are always at the scene to make sure everything runs smoothly. All of the appetizers are great. My favorite at the moment is the salmon and avocado tartare but don’t sleep on the fried oysters, smoked trout spring rolls or any of the salads. If you like duck, the duck entree here is absolutely fantastic and a great value at $28 (as of this writing). And anything you order in the fish side will be a winner. Last night I really enjoyed the scallops with mushroom risotto. You owe it to yourself to check this place out.

First impression, it was incredibly noisy. I probably wouldn't go there again for that reason. Servers were very nice but seemed a bit overwhelmed. We shared a delicious duck confit salad and then a filet. Tge spinach was very bitter.
