The Peter Shields Inn & Restaurant features a seasonally driven menu bursting with creativity. A favorite of Cape May locals and visitors alike, PSI is a BYOB establishment offering a la carte dining along with a variety of seasonal tasting menus throughout the year. The magnificent ocean views offer the perfect setting to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a memorable dining experience in beautiful Cape May. During the summer months outdoor dining is available on the front porch overlooking the ocean, and several fireplaces keep the restaurant feeling cozy throughout the winter. Live piano music can be enjoyed at the restaurant all year long. PSI also specializes in hosting elegant ocean front weddings throughout the year, making this the perfect location for special celebrations. The dress code at PSI is Smart Casual.

                                                    The staff is very gracious and as we both have mobility issues getting up all the steps is always a challenge . The same staff have been there for years which speaks well for the restaurant . As it was New Year’s Eve we never felt rushed even thought we were early diners ! Food was delicious .

                                                    We were a group of 7. We got our drinks in good time. It was at least 45-60 minutes before we got our main course. My steak was overcooked. Another person who got the chicken said it was dry. 2 other steaks were not good or flavorful. The chef did come out to apologize and they did comp us desserts. However, for $60+ for a steak I thought that was shameful. The apple crisp was cold when on the menu said it would be warm. We are in Cape May a few times a year. I would not return to Peter Shields. I'm thinking they're just selling their name now.

                                                    I normally do not give outstanding ratings, however all four meals were very good and service lacked nothing would highly recommend although expensive it was worth it
