    Mid day the restaurant was full and very loud. I had intended to chat up with my lunch guest but we were unable to converse without leaning in and shouting🤪. I’ve been sitting outside for most of the year but the cooler morning made us choose an inside table. My calamari and warm cheese and beet salad were great!

    Love the Iron Gate. This is one of the most unique restaurants in the Bay Area. Exudes a terrific menus and high quality delicious foods perfectly prepared, they do flambés. This is where they light the food on fire at table-side. It’s impressive! They really have great foods like the escargot, spinach and bacon salad, and zucchini stuffed with crab. The petrale sole almandine is my go to entree. But their veal piccata is terrific, too. And the soufflé dessert with the fruit is also exceptional, delicious, and unique. If you want a great fine dining meal with the “old school” flare, then the Iron Gate is for you.

    I took my wife to Left Bank and we had mussels and salmon. The salmon and lentils were excellent. We also had a glass of sparkling wine which was very good. My son wanted steak frites so we ordered that to go which he loves. Overall very good experience. We used the inKind app to pay for it for extra savings.
