A Classic French Bistro in the heart of Edison Park has been a dream of Executive Chef and owner Joe Calabrese for several years. Joe was professionally trained at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America located in Hyde Park, New York. It was my first time at Nonna Silvias, and was very impressed. We started out with the Burrata Pugliese, which was delicious. For my entree I had the Gnocchi alla Vodka and it was outstanding. The best vodka sauce I have ever had. My friend really enjoyed the Sacchettini Porcini. The service was outstanding. Will definitely return.

Carmine’s is always my go to spot when I land at O’Hare. If I’m not sitting at the bar talking to Bobby, one of the hardest working bartenders I’ve met, I have business dinners with customers. They’re always requesting that I take them back for dinner whenever I’m in town. Phil greets everyone with his great smile and makes everyone feel at home. Kevin, the valet, hustles in any kind of weather. Everyone on staff are incredible. Just note - their portions are big and will be leaving with a take-out carton. Can’t wait to be back soon.

Absolutely magnificent lunch. Delicious house made pate appetizer. Creamy melt in your mouth quiche with a bounty of salad that could have made a meal in itself. Make sure you save room for the chocolate pate dessert. This is the type of restaurant you wish you had in your own neighborhood so you could go there often. Even though it was a 30 minute ride from me, I’ll be back.

Our waitress was great. She took our drinks order and gave us time to look over the menu and talk. It was my family member’s birthday and we got something special from the kitchen. I had to get something changed and I found the person who helped me earlier to assist me. We loved the food and enjoyed celebrating there!
