Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland. Our welcoming and eclectic atmosphere is appropriate for almost any occasion - whether it be meeting a friend for a drink, celebrating an important event, or relaxing after work. Menu items change frequently--usually every day--and reflect many long-standing relationships we have with farms and breweries in our region. We don’t know exactly how old the bar is, but it’s at least seventy years old (probably older) and very cozy. Our friendly bartenders are here to make something you like.

This was a cute spot for my boyfriend and I to end our valentines date night. Chill vibe, good music, & amazing bartenders. I gave one star for food because they don’t serve food. Which I knew before we went. An excellent place to go to grab a few drinks or spend an intimate evening with your loved one.

An absolutely great visit! I've never been and was looking for new places to try for Valentine's/Self-Love Day, lol. I was late for my reservation (I did call to make them aware) and they were still able to accommodate me -- nice customer service. I sat at the bar and was greeted by Scott. He's a sweetheart and served me a couple Sparkling Comsos -- yumm. For my dinner, I got the Scottish Salmon cooked medium. It was made perfectly! The accoutrements were delish as well. Abby(ie) made sure I was tended to throughout. Very nice experience in a beautiful space with matching vibes.
