In 1688, Joseph Haviland built a tidewater gristmill that provided the locally-grown grains to a nearby bakery that supplied farmers and tradesmen with bread. It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors.     Perfect kind of fine dining experience - upscale, not uptight, incredible food, and really impeccable service. It is going to be hard to eat anywhere else for the next several months. We went to celebrate a birthday and engagement anniversary, and they made it very special and very aware that they knew and cared about it !

    Always a great meal with fantastic service at this and all the Cecconi's locations that I have frequented worldwide. We were happy to get a table with a view and try some creative cuisine. The whipped ricotta with truffle was superb. I feel like a lot of restaurants have the same menus these days and the chef really puts his own spin on some basic items and really makes them mouth watering. Quite the enjoyable experience!

    Had a great experience. The food and drinks were a highlight - it was so tasty. Some of the best Mexican food in the area. Service was a little slow but it was a busy night. Staff was very friendly. The noise level was my one complaint. It was mostly a normal noise level but some random songs would be extremely loud. It wasn’t bad enough to take away from the night.
