- MMary LouvipSan Francisco Bay Area •27 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoFun menu with emphasis on plates to share, creative use of seasonal ingredients and the pita bread is to die for. The Breaking Bread appetizer sampler is a must order. Lamb chops were divine. Our server was friendly, helpful and attentive, but not overly so--made for a delicious, relaxing weekday lunch with girlfriends.More infoDalidaPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Presidio•4.7
- EEvelynvipSan Francisco Bay Area •15 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoGary Danko continues to shine after more than 25 years in business! The service is so elevated, it is like no other restaurant in San Francisco. The menu is broad and it’s difficult to choose between options, but everything you order will be simply amazing! We ordered the lobster salad, seafood risotto, lamb loin and filet of beef. Each course was beautifully presented and sumptuously prepared. We found room in our appetites for the cheese board(don’t miss this!) and profiteroles and sorbet trio. It was all mouthwatering. They have an extensive wine list and we are connoisseur of wine, but ordered two wines we have never had before and they were fantastic. Because it was our anniversary we were also treated with an additional complementary mini deserts, each a burst of flavor. Every diner also got a very nice surprise to take home and enjoy the next day and we surely did ! Gary Danko restaurant staff ,you are incredible and we can’t wait to return again .More infoGary DankoPrice: Very Expensive• Contemporary French / American• Fisherman's Wharf•4.8
- EErinSan Francisco Bay Area •3 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoPrelude is such a gem that we are lucky to have in the Bay Area. In an era where tasting menus can often leave you underwhelmed and needing a slice of pizza at the end, Prelude did the exact opposite. While I did opt for the caviar supplement and added on the sweetbreads dish from the ala carte menu, even without the extras I still would have left full to the brim. Some can’t miss dishes are the stuffed chicken wing, the catfish dumplings, the aforementioned sweetbreads, and the pork chop. The service was warm, friendly, and attentive, and I found the by the glass wine options superb- I was particularly fond of a pour of a very special 1996 Chenin Blanc with dessert. I look forward to returning to Prelude again and again.More infoPreludePrice: Expensive• Californian• Financial District / Embarcadero•4.6
- BBarbaravipSan Francisco Bay Area •61 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThree of us dined here before our show at the Curran, just one block away. Started with the large sized Cesar to share. I had 2 appetizers- I eat pasta and pizza at home. So the Kampachi crudo was great as were the meatballs. Plenty of food and a chance to try more things. One friend had the chicken leg confit over polenta and she loved it. The other had the spaghetti with clams and loved hers. A very good meal, excellent service and lively atmosphere. We will definitely be back.More infoCorzettiPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown / Union Square•4.5
