Best Casual Restaurants in Gastown

Hello: We had a very good experience. My Diva cocktail was delish. We had a window seat which was nice to look out over Gastown. Sashimi salad was excellent great dressing. Food came surprisingly quickly and was piping hot. We ordered the chicken Kara-age the chicken inside was super tender and outside crisp and hot. The octopus Takoyaki was great dipping sauce a delicous accompaniment. The Beef Udon (Guuu'd Yaki Udon) was good that dish could perhaps have had a stronger sauce it was quite mild tho the bonito flake gave it a great flavor. We would definately come here again!

Steamworks is a fabulous place to meet with friends for a glass of wine and a bite. The ambiance is friendly and fun, the service predictably perfect and the food always delish. The views of the harbour and north shore mountains are a much appreciated bonus! We love sharing the special pizza but there are so many interesting choices on the menu. We love meeting at Steamworks and highly recommend it to tourists and locals as well!

Friendly and attentive service with amazing drinks!

Great experience here! Very personalized service, lovely room. Started off with tasty complimentary bread and butter and tried the fried cauliflower and braised brisket. Braised brisket was excellent!
