Best Casual Restaurants in Uptown

We came here before performance at the Belk theater. It was our first time here. The food was good. The service was great and it was so convenient to the Belk theater that I am sure we will come back again.

We decided to do Valentines a day later since we had to work on actual Valentine’s Day. We booked for a 4:30 reservation (the latest they had until 8pm. Which was totally fine. We arrived at 4:20 and had our car valeted since there isn’t street parking. Walked in, were greeted right away- seated and within two minutes our server greeted us with water. He took our cocktail order then told us about their Rendezvous for Two deal, which included an appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert for $55. Our drinks arrived quickly and the app followed within a couple of minutes. We did the Pimento Cheese Dip which was great. Then I had the Shrimp and Grits and my wife did the Salmon with Creamy Quinoa. Both portions were great (so much so that I couldn’t finish all mine). We got our dessert to go since we were both stuffed from the large portions. We got the Pecan Pie and oh my goodness it was delicious. Our server was great and super helpful. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

Food was pretty good. But the service we got from Arturo was 10/10. Nice menu for Valentines Day and will more than likely be back. Also got seated sooner than my reservation time so that was a huge win as well

Excellent Valentines Day experience . The special menu had enough choices to have something for everyone, and the food was delicious and service was excellent. The prices were elevated for the Valentine’s Day , which I do understand. Gotta make that money . I get it. Some of the prices did seem excessive though. For example , one small crabcake (maybe 3 oz) was $19. The filet mignon offering looked like a pretty modest cut , maybe (5-6 oz precook). I guess I’m just saying for $100, per person , the food was very good , but I don’t know that I would say a great ‘value’. They definitely marked up for the holiday.
