- DRDebbieRSouth Carolina •2 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoOut of town colleagues and I had a wonderful dinner. Local fish of the day was a black grouper and it was delicious, fresh, and had a nice presentation. Another had the shrimp and grits. Biggest serving I’ve ever seen of that dish in this town. We started with raw oysters and they were on point! Decent wine list and our server,Joe, was fantastic. Don’t sleep on Rappahannock.More infoRappahannock Oyster Bar - CharlestonPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Downtown Charleston•4.7
- AAlOrlando / Central Florida East •24 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 14, 2024Had reservations for brunch in a few days but was looking for a casual southern place for dinner and VOK absolutely filled the desire! From the very start with the Tomato Pie appetizer we knew this was going to be good! Deviled eggs were okay but nothing special, She Crab Soup was on point! The cornbread they served with the appetizers was amazing and served as dessert as well! I had the Crispy Cod BLT with Onion Casserole on the side and my wife hade a small house salad, still quite large! Everything was delicious and plentiful! Service was excellent throughout the meal and some creative seasonal cocktails. My wife tried the Aperol Spritz with a twist of Apple Juice and Cinnamon and loved it! We both can’t wait to go back for brunch! Friendly atmosphere, a bit loud but some great music playing as well!More infoVirginia's on KingPrice: Moderate• Southern• Downtown Charleston•4.5
- OTOpenTable DinerTahoe / Reno Area •4 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 14, 2024This was my first time visiting Charleston, SC, and I’m a foodie by trade! When I was tasked to find a good steakhouse near the water for a reasonable price, I found Burwell’s Stone Fire Grill. According to the locals, this was the place to go. So I booked my group reservation and let it ride. We arrived shortly before our scheduled time, and was greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table. Our server was awesome. Miley was her name. She knew the menu, was happy and upbeat, and made some great recommendations. We did shots of bourbon for the table - great choice! When it was time to order, I decided to go with the deviled eggs as an appetizer, and the Signature Hot Rock Duo of Filet and Wagyu. It was all amazing. Fast forward to the dessert menu, and what do you know - more great choices to pick from. So we each ordered a separate item from the dessert list and shared around the table. All in all, this place is a gem. Burwell’s certainly deserves a 5 star rating. This is going to be a favorite place to visit when I return to the Charleston area.More infoBurwell's Stone Fire GrillPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Downtown Charleston•4.9
