We were seated near the bar at a nice table for two. Server was friendly and knowledgeable, and our food arrived quickly. Everything was delicious! There were two birthday tables seated next to me and we were happy to join in when the waitstaff sang to them. I feel like we were there during a shift change because around 4:00 the music went into a very contemplative and somber tune and our server disappeared. The marigold flower powder was a very fun addition. The Queso appetizer was wrapped in hoja santa leaves that our server told us were grown in Chef Iliana’s own garden. The Estofado Istmeno was also delicious. The crowning touch was the Tamal de Chocolate with orange blossom ice cream. We like the ice cream so much we ordered an extra bowl.
