Best Authentic Restaurants in Fountain Hills / Rio Verde

The food at the Italiano is fabulous, proof being that even on a Monday night the restaurant and bar were incredibly busy. My only issues were one trivial one and the other I would consider substantial. Trivial would be that tonight the kitchen was out of the zucchini blossoms which was tragic because I love them! The substantial issue for me is the noise level. We were sitting at one of the very comfortable couch like tables in the bar and the noise level is so high that you have to consistently ask those across from you to repeat what they are saying, and I also felt forced to lean across the table for them to hear me clearly. That is my singular negative aissue with the Italiano. Otherwise the food is amazing, the decor and style of the entire place is lovely, and the atmosphere is wonderful. I just wish the noise level would be brought down to a more civilized to level so as to make the dining experience that much more pleasurable.

Food was good. Servers were nice but service was so so slow. They seem to be short-handed every time we've been there, under old ownership as well as new. Perhaps hire more people especially for the weekend during busy, snowbird season? Also ran out of several menu items by 8:00 pm. The atmosphere is great - nice, quiet location. Will give them another try after a while and see.

Without question, the best pizza I’ve had anywhere in the world. The salads are fantastic and the stuffed peppadews were sensational! Bruschetta is also excellent. The “ZA” pizza is addictive. Just tried Neapolitan Tartufo for dessert: shades of a week in Rome many years ago: I’m still dreaming of it! We always feel welcome and valued as staff is professional but warm and friendly! Love love love this treasure!

Food is excellent - we had Coq au vin, fille mignon, fois gras, salad Nicoise and Opera cake. Everything was very good. Owners are very friendly , atmosphere is pleasant, not too noisy but not empty. We will be back!

Best food in the valley with the exception of Steak 44. My wife and I have attended Casa Mia dozens of times and never had a bad meal or service! That says a lot and sets a very high standard that few restaurants can match.
