Best Steak Restaurants in Frankfort

Cut 158 Chophouse is my favorite restaurant for special occasions. I had been talking to my husband about the restaurant after going there for the first time last December. Earlier this year, I made a reservation for our Valentine's Day dinner. We arrived at scheduled time and was immediately seated at a table on the second level of restaurant. My husband was very impressed over the great menu selections. The food, the service, and the overall ambience of the restaurant contributed to a perfect evening!

Food, service, excellent but noise level and music too loud. Could not hold conversation with my date. Will visit again hope that noise level is toned down.

Our first time at Primal Cut was on Valentine’s Day. Overall, everything was great! Highly recommend the filet and espresso martini. Definitely pricey, but then again it’s a steakhouse. The one thing I did not like was the side salad. It was a random mix of iceberg and spring greens, just not a cohesive salad. I believe our waitress was Gina and she was very friendly and provided quick service. We would go back again for a nice meal!

We went on Valentine's Day for lunch and it wasn't busy. The meats were excellent and my boyfriend was in heaven. The tri-tip and sausages were the high points for me. The parmesan chicken and parmesan pork were rather bland and dry. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't have the beef ribs, but the manager told me that certain meats aren't served during lunch to keep the price down, which is fair. The fried bananas and cheese bread were good, but nothing special. I LOVED the potatoes gratin and sauteed mushrooms. The boyfriend loved the mashed potatoes. If you're not a meat eater, you'll be very happy with the salad bar as there was lots of variety and plenty of heartier & higher-end items: potato salad, fresh mozzarella, two kinds of olives, goat cheese, smoked salmon, it goes on and on. I'm obsessed with the very generously-sized papaya mousse dessert, and haven't stopped thinking about it since. The service was really wonderful. The waiter, the gauchos, and manager were all kind and attentive. The waiter kept an eye out and proactively checked in, refilling our drinks and such. The gauchos seem to have a sixth sense for what you need more of. Definitely going back.

Our server was wonderful and helped me decide on the Chilean sea bass which was outstanding! My husband chose the rack of lamb which he said was one of the best he’s ever tasted. As always beautiful ambiance to celebrate my hubby’s birthday!
