Beauty & Essex has an innovative design that starts in the restaurant’s entrance, a well-curated modern-day pawn shop replete with a saxophone, boom­box, quirky artifacts, vintage treasures, and an eclectic array of “one-off” pieces of jewelry.     We came to Don Cheech for the first time as new Staten Islanders who tend to gravitate towards Brooklyn celebrating a very momentous occasion in our life (being cancer free!), and everything from the food to the service did not disappoint. Stephanie is an actual gem - I called prior to our reservation to ask for a dessert request with writing, and she was so gracious and heartfelt over why we were celebrating over dinner. She connected with us the whole time, checked up on how we were doing constantly, all while chef Massimo prepared for us the most amazing meal. The ambiance was fantastic - a quiet Thursday night with a great week day special if you’re looking for that - it was the best all around. We can’t wait to be regulars here!!!
