Best Steak Restaurants in Lakewood Ranch

Another excellent experience at Stonewood! Payton was very personable and efficient, as always. Tamara graciously stopped by and adjusted the temperature for us. I had the Chef's Creation Chicken entree (couldn't pronounce it, can't spell it), and it was delicious! My wife and our friend split the prime rib sandwich, and they both really enjoyed it. Besides the great food and atmosphere, the staff there really makes each experience there a pleasant one!

What can you say..we never have been disappointed at any Ruth’s Chris Steak House’s that we have visited and Lakewood Ranch is no different. From the time you walk in the door until you leave. The food amazing. The hostess staff is very cheerful and the server staff are very pleasant and attentive.

There are 4 of us who enjoy going to Capital Grill and sitting in the bar area for their "bar" special. It is the best steak sandwich and a glass of wine anywhere. We went on Sunday 2/16/2025 (made a reservation) and were told that menu wasn't available. Our waiter checked with the chef and said they would accommodate us. Our server was Sean and he was the best. Upbeat personality, accommodating and just a pleasure. The only one who was not friendly was the woman who checked us in and showed us to our table.

In my opinion this is the place for a fantastic special occasion dinner, , when there is no live band. The food has always been amazing especially the steaks and whiskey cocktails. The service is great from start to finish. However last night ,which was valentine’s night , was over the top loud. The Bar area was out of control in which the bartender had to yell at one of the customers to knock it off and calm down stating to the customer “ We aren’t animals in here”. That was a little disturbing when you’re trying to have a pleasant meal and conversation at your table. Way too loud last night, this has never happened to us before when we have gone. I will be more aware of when they have live music playing and avoid going during this time because it’s to loud and the people are just screaming at each other to where you can’t enjoy yourself for a nice meal.

It is tomahawk tuesday, which is big enough for two. Came with two sides and two salads or soup, and two dessert. We had the flemings potato’s, which were incredible. Similar to au gratin potatoes, except they had a light cream sauce with chopped jalapeños, and a jack cheese topping. Amazing!!’ We also had asparagus, which is asparagus and how can you ruin it? For dessert we had one piece of New York style cheesecake with fresh, strawberries and strawberry wine, drizzled, and one piece of carrot cake that was unbelievably delicious they put the calories next to the menu options, which is a bummer, because the carrot cake was 1250 cal!!! One of the reasons why our bill was high as we both had a margarita before dinner and then ordered a bottle of wine with dinner. We met the general manager who is super gracious, and came over and checked on as many times We both highly recommend They did have an extensive seafood menu, but we both decided to do steak tonight. Oh by the way all the steak is flown in fresh from the Midwest and never frozen.
