- BbethanyIndiana •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoThe experience was out of this world. Understandably my boyfriend and I weren’t able to get a reservation for Valentine’s Day so we set one for the day after. We were seated quickly in a cozy booth in a beautifully decorated room. We started with the oysters - the mignonette was delightful! We also shared the steak tartare which we were a little intimidated by at first but really enjoyed. Before dinner I had the professional martini and it really was the perfect drink, followed by their Robert Pampignac Brut with dinner - my boyfriend usually only drinks beer and he said it was unreal! For the main course my boyfriend ordered the venison burger and I ordered the scallops. Both of us were wowed by the quality and flavors of our entrees, everything was perfectly cooked! Our server Iryna was friendly and attentive, she has waited on me in the past and it was such a treat to be served by her again. The Gage has become our favorite restaurant. We can’t wait to visit again!More infoThe GagePrice: Moderate• American• Downtown / Loop•4.7

The portion size was great as well. Music was playing at a level that was enjoyable which allowed us to talk without yelling. Service was prompt and the pricing matched the caliber of food that we received. I highly recommend Jordyn’s restaurant.More infoJordyn’s Soul Cafe - Hyde ParkPrice: Moderate• Soul food• Hyde Park•3.8
- TTerriChicago / Illinois •14 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoTook hubby here for his birthday. This was our second time visiting. The food was just as we remembered, if not even better! We started off with the gumbo, which was hearty in itself. My husband had the Short ribs, which were tender and flavorful. I had the blackened catfish, which was flaky, seasoned well, and melted in my mouth. We also ordered as sides: collard greens, mac n cheese, and cornbread. OMG, I could've lived off the cornbread alone! Greens were cooked to perfection, and mac n cheese was creamy but not overly cheesy. Needless to say, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, and we had a lot of leftovers. The service was top-notch, and it was a great experience overall. It is a small space, so be prepared to maybe sit a little close to other patrons. It was cool for us, great conversation. We will definitely be back, try something else, and remember those sides are enough to 2👍🏾More infoVirtuePrice: Expensive• Southern• Hyde Park•4.9
- RRyanSan Francisco Bay Area •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoI took my mom for a Valentine's Day lunch. We went around 3 PM, and even though my reservation was at 3:30 PM the staff were nice enough to let me in. Granted it was a low volume of people eating at the time. We were sat near the windows which added to the ambience of our visit. The music made it feel like we were in an old fancy jazz club. I had the French onion soup and the chicken sandwich while my mom had the Walnut turkey club sandwich. Both sandwiches came with well seasoned fries. The food was delicious and our waitress, Annette, was very attentive and sweet. Overall we had a great experience and would definitely go again. I would highly recommend the Walnut Room.More infoThe Walnut Room - ChicagoPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown / Loop•4.6
- KKimberlyChicago / Illinois •163 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoEverything about lunch at Remingtons was perfect. The decor is very sophisticated and pleasant. Service couldn’t be any better. And the food is very good classic American. My only complaint is their prices. They are exceedingly high. An appetizer crab cake, while quite delicious, is $22. In addition, they charge 3.5% sur charge. This just seems excessive.More infoRemington'sPrice: Moderate• American• Downtown / Loop•4.6
